SPATA Awards

Nine time SPATA Gold Award winners !

February 2021

Leading the way for the swimming pool industry, the UK trade association SPATA (Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association) annually invite their members to enter the British Pool & Hot Tub Awards. These awards bring together SPATA and BISHTA (British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association) members. The combined swimming pool, spa, hot tub and wellness industry awards attract entries from companies across the UK (and some from its overseas members), celebrating the best of construction, design, installation, retail, hire, service and innovation.

At this years awards  Home Counties Pools & Hot Tubs were awarded the Silver medal in the Residential Outdoor Liner Pools  category  and Bronze in the Residential Indoor Pools under £90,000 category.

With 29 categories to be contested, this year's winning and highly commended entries to the British Pool & Hot Tub Awards demonstrated the breadth of talent and commitment to quality and service in the industry, even when in the restrictions of a pandemic.

Both SPATA and BISHTA work on behalf of the industry, but with the consumer in mind. Setting Standards and producing a Code of Ethics by which their members are expected to abide. Providing a route for consumers to purchase water leisure products and services with the peace of mind that companies displaying the trade association logos that are listed on the association’s respective websites, are all reputable and trusted businesses working to appropriate standards.

Home Counties toast success at the 2015 SPATA industry swimming pool awards.

Some of the most innovative swimming pool companies were celebrating recently after collecting awards at the  2015 SPATA Awards.

The Swimming Pool Allied Trade Association (SPATA) Awards were held at the Ricoh Centre, Coventry home of SPATEX the UK's largest swimming pool and hot tub exhibition.

The Home Counties team won gold in the prestigious Peter Geekie Award category for retail excellence. They were also delighted that an entry from previous year for a "Cascade" liner pool installed near Chichester, West Sussex had been upgraded from Silver to Gold following a review and disqualification of a competing entry . This also meant a Home Counties pool in fourth place in the same category was promoted to the Bronze medal position, giving the Home Counties team a haul of three awards.

Home Counties list of SPATA honours now includes 9 Gold Medals, 10 Silver and 2 Bronze in the last ten years, establishing them as the leading SPATA award winning company in the South East.

The awards, organised by SPATA, which represent approximately 200 specialist pool building companies across the UK, highlight the achievements of the pool industry by showcasing the best examples of construction, design, retail and innovation.
